Why view on Apple Vision Pro?
Jigs will load in the Safari web browser by default when launched on Apple Vision Pro.
However, the native JigSpace spatial app has many unique features not available in web browsers that make the app the preferred method of viewing 3D presentations.
These include:
- Immersive experience
- Pick up and pull apart objects
- Annotation and mark up
- Multiplayer mode.
How to view
Before starting, ensure you have downloaded the JigSpace spatial app from the visionOS AppStore.
Opening the Jig
Open from a share link: Copy the Jig share link from the Windows, Mac, iPad, or iPhone apps, or web browser, and open it on your Apple Vision Pro. A prompt to 'Open in JigSpace for Apple Vision Pro' will appear in your web browser. Click this to launch the native app.
Place your Jig in your space
Move around your space until you find an ideal spot for your presentation. Jigs can be anchored to flat surfaces like floors, desks, or tables.
Once satisfied with the location, tap to place your Jig. Your 3D presentation will appear, ready for you to explore. You can move this later using the double-pinch and move gesture.

Frequently asked questions
Can I launch Jigs by scanning a QR code on Apple Vision Pro?
QR codes are not yet supported by Apple visionOS operating system. We plan to introduce this feature as soon as it becomes available in visionOS as another method of quickly launching Jigs.
Do I need the JigSpace app to view presentations on Apple Vision Pro?
While Jigs can be viewed via Safari in a "flat 3D view", for a fully immersive and interactive experience, you need to use the JigSpace app. We strongly suggest you use the native spatial app.
How do I start creating my first 3D presentation for Apple Vision Pro?
You can follow this step-by-step tutorial on creating your own 3D presentation, from storyboarding, 3D model formatting, and adding details and knowledge to each step.
To get started: sign up for a new account and then download one of the authoring apps.
Can I create a 3D presentation using Apple Vision Pro?
No, you need to create and edit your presentations using the JigSpace app on Windows, Mac, iPad, or iPhone. Once you save your presentation, you can open it by copying the share link and opening it on your Apple Vision Pro.
Can I use existing 3D models in Apple Vision Pro?
Yes, you can import 3D models into JigSpace, including FBX, OBJ, STEP, STL, and SolidWorks native files, then add your animation, text, images, video and more to them to make your 3D presentation. Learn more about importing 3D models and CAD files.
Are there any limitations to the size of 3D presentations on Apple Vision Pro?
We typically recommend keeping polygon counts of your 3D presentations to 50,000 to 200,000 so they work consistently on all devices. The Vision Pro is a powerful device, with an M2 chip, that allows for greater sized Jigs. On this device, a typical Jig with 500,000 polygons will work fine. Of course, depending on the number of objects, your geometry, how many programs you are multitasking on Vision Pro, this number could be lower or higher.
Are there any specific design considerations when creating 3D presentations for Apple Vision Pro?
You can read our longer spatial design considerations for Apple Vision Pro article here. In summary, your presentations should consider:
- scale
- visual clarity and contrast when in augmented reality
- spatial interaction
- audio narration and sound effects
- user navigation and control
- performance optimization.
Can I collaborate with others on a JigSpace presentation for Apple Vision Pro?
You can view your 3D presentation with others in multiplayer mode. In this collaborative viewing experience, you share a common spatial context and orientation of the 3D content in your presentation, including when objects are moved, resized, rotated. You also share markup and annotations when you draw in the Jig, and can talk and see each other via SharePlay with spatial audio, which creates a real sense of presence.
Is it possible to track viewer engagement on my 3D presentations?
When you or someone else views your 3D presentations in Apple Vision Pro, the following data is tracked and reportable to paying subscribers:
- Total views
- Total viewing engagement time
- Views per step in your presentation
- Time spent viewing each step in your presentation
- Objects and actions clicked on in your presentation
Can JigSpace presentations created for Apple Vision Pro be viewed on other devices or platforms?
Yes, Jigs created for Apple Vision are also viewable in a web-browser on mobile or computers, iPhone and iPad native apps, Windows, and Mac apps. You do not need to do anything additional to publish to these platforms. As soon as you save your presentation, it will become the current published version.
