You can download your Jigs to view offline later when you don’t have internet access, or when internet connections are poor, such as large events, remote locations, or during air travel. This also provides greater reliability when you’re on the go currently tethering to an iPhone hotspot or guest Wifi.
Viewing offline is available on the following JigSpace apps:
- Apple Vision Pro
- Apple iPad
- Apple iPhone
View offline on Vision Pro
You can download any Jig that is yours, your teams, or that has been shared directly with your JigSpace account.
To download your Jigs to view offline on Vision Pro, follow these steps:
- Ensure you are signed into your JigSpace account
- Tap on the Settings button in the main menu
- Select ‘Manage offline Jigs’
- Tap the download icon on each Jig that you want to view offline
- These will download one at a time
- When complete, tap ‘Manage offline Jigs’ again to finish.
View offline on iPad and iPhone
To download your Jig 3D presentations to view offline on iPad and iPhone:
- Ensure you are signed in to your JigSpace account
- From the main menu tap on the Jig you want to download
- From the preview panel, click on the … button
- Toggle ‘Available offline’ to on.
Once this is toggled on, the Jig will be downloaded to your device. You’ll notice there is now a new icon on your Jigs thumbnail.
Offline mode security
Enabling offline viewing mode stores a secure copy of a Jig on your device so you don’t need to be connected to the internet to view it. You can only download Jigs that you have account-level access to, including:
- Owned by you
- Shared with your team
- Shared directly with you.
You need to be signed into your JigSpace account to use offline mode. After signing in, and downloading Jigs to view offline, you can continue viewing Jigs and remain offline for up to 30 days before access will expire. To extend access, simply open the JigSpace app while you are connected to the internet and ensure you are logged in.
We recommend you follow our security guidelines and use strong account passwords and device security measures.
Editing Jigs while offline
If you make edits to a Jig without being able to save it, quit the app and open its backup when you are next online. This can then be saved to the server.
Update downloaded Jigs
To update Jigs that you have already downloaded, you will need to disable or remove them from the device, then re-download from the server. This will download the latest version of the Jig to your device.
