Mirroring an Apple Vision Pro to an iPad while using JigSpace is a great way to present, provide real-time assistance, and get feedback on your content. Follow the steps in this article to enable this functionality.
Benefits of mirroring Apple Vision Pro to an iPad
Mirroring allows others to see exactly what the wearer of the Apple Vision Pro devices sees. This can be particularly useful in a range of scenarios:
- Guiding first time users: Help guide guest viewers through your 3D presentation in a meeting
- Training: Provide real time feedback and help to a trainee while they interact with instructions and training content in JigSpace
- Trade show and sales demonstrations: Enable your clients to interact with your virtual products in the Apple Vision Pro while observing what they see and engaging them live.
To set up these two devices for these scenarios, follow these instructions below.
Enable AirPlay receiver on iPad
To receive live content from a nearby Apple Vision Pro you need to enable this specifically on your iPad AirPlay settings. This only needs to be enabled once.
- Go to Settings > General > AirPlay & Handoff
- Scroll down to AirPlay Receiver
- Toggle on.
This will make your iPad appear as a mirror option in your Apple Vision Pro. You can choose to allow airplay for everyone, or just your device.
You can also set your iPad to require a password before mirroring.
