If your CAD file has object or part names that you wish to import as interactive labels, you can do this manually by following this simple sequence.
- Tap the model in JigSpace you wish to add labels to
- Check it is in ‘Object mode’ {icon-object-mode.svg} by toggling this on
- Tap the label icon {icon-label.svg}
- Select ‘Use names from file’
This will import the names of all objects, sub-objects, assemblies, or sub-assemblies into the 3D model as labels.
Remember, these will override any pre-existing labels, and will be applied to all steps in your Jig presentation if they exist.
These labels can be further edited or customized by:
- Toggling into ‘Sub-Object mode’ {icon-sub-object-mode.svg}
- Tapping on a sub-object you wish to see or edit
- Tap the label icon {icon-label.svg}
- Edit the text
- Choose to ‘Always show’ or leave black to show only when touched in a presentation.
